How to convert WEBP to PNG
Add WEBP images
Drag them in, choose them with the button or paste an image straight from your clipboard.
Let your browser convert them
Each PNG is created right away, with transparency and full detail preserved.
Save your PNGs
Download them individually or all at once in a ZIP file.
No upload, even for big batches
Logos, product shots and design assets are often confidential until launch. With KeepPixels they never leave your computer – your browser decodes the WEBP and writes the PNG locally.
PNG or JPG for your WEBP images?
PNG is the safe choice whenever an image has a transparent background or will be edited further. Graphics with sharp edges – logos, icons, interface screenshots, stickers – also stay cleaner as PNG than as JPG, which can blur edges and add faint artefacts around text.
Choose PNG when…
- the image has a transparent background you want to keep;
- you’ll place it on top of other designs in Canva, Figma, Photoshop or PowerPoint;
- it contains text, lines or flat colours.
Choose JPG when…
- the image is a photo and file size matters;
- a website or form only accepts JPG.
For photos, WEBP to JPG gives you much smaller files.

Frequently asked questions
Does the transparent background stay transparent?
Yes. PNG supports transparency, so transparent and semi-transparent areas are kept exactly as they are.
Why is the PNG bigger than the WEBP?
PNG compresses without any loss and is less efficient than WEBP, so files grow – often two to five times. That's the price of a format every program understands.
Will the quality get worse?
No. A lossless WEBP becomes a pixel-identical PNG. A lossy WEBP keeps exactly the detail it has; PNG adds no further loss.
What about animated WEBP?
The PNG contains the first frame. For animations you'd need a GIF or video format.
Are my files sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device.
