Frequently asked questions

Which format is best?

JPG for photos you want to share or upload, PNG for logos, screenshots and anything with transparency, WebP if you need small files for a website.

Can I convert several formats at once?

Yes. Add HEIC, PNG and WebP files together – they all come out in the format you chose.

Is transparency kept?

In PNG and WebP, yes. JPG can't store transparency, so you choose the colour that fills it – white by default.

What happens to the photo details (EXIF)?

For JPG and PNG, the location is removed and the other details are kept, unless you choose otherwise. WebP files are saved without details.

Which formats can I convert from?

HEIC and HEIF, AVIF, WebP, PNG, JPG, GIF (the first frame) and BMP.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser.
